Meet Maryssa Mayberry!

The first Maryssa Mayberry book is now on the shelf at Amazon and I wanted to tell you some things about Maryssa that you might not know.

Maryssa is a young sailor traveling around the world on the oceans. She's very concerned about the way that the people of the world treat the oceans. She wants to protect the oceans from harm, so she's sailing around the world to talk to other kids and to show them how they can help make a difference. She wants very much to see the people of the world work together to solve the problems with the ocean.

Maryssa is sailing a small sailboat named S/V Grace. The S/V stands for Sailing Vessel. Her boat is a very capable ocean-going cruiser and will take her safely where she needs to go. She is accompanied by her cat, FitzRoy, named after a famous ship's captain, and FitzRoy thinks he's the boss.

Keep checking back on the blog for information on ways you can help Maryssa take care of the oceans!
